A typical day
This is a desk job in an Accountant General (Accounts and Entitlements) office. You supervise a section of Accountants, check that treasury accounts are posted correctly, clear pension and GPF cases, and sign off statements before monthly closing. The first week of each month and the annual closing are the busy periods. There is very little touring, and the day usually ends on time.
